How man can ever enslave another man and exploit them without guilt in their conscience I will never know. And the battle still continues for women, minorities (based on ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, etc) to gain rights enjoyed by others.
If we all treat each other with respect, introducing laws will only be a minor measure to create equality.
This is an e-logbook of my reflection of current affairs, consumed news and other media. I am also documenting my thoughts on various things around me - events, people, animals, phenomena, etc. I sometimes post questions, partly to get what I think off of my chest and partly to help improve my thought process. Words are such an easy tool to use to express oneself.

Retail will forever change if multinationals continue to operate under no country's laws
We will see more and more retail companies going bust as they csnnot compete with multinational outfits that exploit tax loopholes to avoid paying corporate tax. These firms post record revenue and profit year on year in the face of local economy meltdown and job losses. They will open warehouses and hire local people but only at the very lowest level, offering minimum pay and minimal work conditions. Isn't it time when governments got wised up or moved to clamp down these rogues? And watever happened to business ethics?

Recently there is information technology literacy that gives someone an edge in surviving and getting ahead in the modern world.
To create a level playing field, states provide compulsory education with curriculum which includes basic skills. But before too long, those with purchasing power will always find a way to become more competitive anyway - private education, special tuition, elite schools. In developing non-English speaking countries, the premium paid for private education offered in the English language at all levels from kindergarten school to university as well as sending your children to study abroad are perfectly sound investment.
Much of these knowledge and ability can be purchased, either through education or by outsourcing (hiring a financial advisor to manage one's finance and as always the case, to minimize one's tax liability) And the more advanced humans are, the richer one group of people become, through a vicious cycle of the rich buying know-how, insight and other means to build further wealth. The gap is getting wider and at exponential rate, between countries and in amongst the population within each country. Should it be public's interest to ensure national policy where equality is higher in the agenda than wealth development?
